The Telugu Film Producers’ Council has fined filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma Rs 5 lakh for wrapping up his film Dongala Mutha, without the guild’s permission. 

In fact, he hadn’t even submitted his script, budget details and shooting schedules to the advisory board to get clearance for shooting his five-day movie. The 11-member executive committee summoned RGV for an emergency meeting on last Thursday and announced its decision regarding the fine.

RGV will go down in history as the first producer to be fined for violating the new regulations initiated by Telugu film fraternity a few months back.
