‘Manmadhudu 2` : A Half-Baked Romantic Entertainer.

Story : 

Sam (Nagarjuna) and his entire family are based in Portugal for almost 90 years. He hates commitment and only like casual relationships. But upon heavy pressure from family to settle down, he hires Avantika (Rakul) who is in a bit of a pickle herself, to act as his girlfriend. She accepts the proposal with her own interests in mind but falls for Sam and family.

Performances:

Nagarjuna shines in parts and is more than good enough. Rakul plays a strong character and fits the bill. Vennela Kishore walks away with all the honours and is a huge relief. Rao Ramesh, Lakshmi, Jhansi and other supporting cast are adequate. Keerthy and Samantha appear in cameos.

Technical Departments:

Music: Ordinary.

Cinematography: Decent.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis : 

`Manmadhudu 2’ is no where near or related to the 2002 original. A Story supposed to be Driven by Family emotions has been told mixed with full of double meaning stuff which ended-up neither satisfying the younger lot nor families. This is an Urban Romantic Entertainer which offers  some half-decent fun but is let down by the lack of a convincing narration. The 1st half of the film is pretty decent and offers good (adult) entertainment. But The 2nd half is mediocre and the climax is predictable. You may still try this but at your own risk.

Box-office Verdict : 

With its appeal largely limited to Urban Audiences, this may not make much impact beyond the 1st week.
