Wanted : Distributors for Damarukam

RR Movie Makers is in a spot of bother with Damarukam turning out to be an Over budgeted flick. The film was initially planned to be made on 30 Crores, but the latest estimates suggest that Damrukam will cost to the tune of over 40 Crores to get a final copy.

RR has Distribution set up in many areas of the state, but they are not planning to release the film on their own. When the producer plans an own release he survives on the Exhibitor Advances & Share guarantees. But, with Nagarjuna in a bad phase in his career and his Theatrical market being below 20 Crores, RR is losing sleep over the release of the film. They have to clear around 25 Crores finances before the release and that is highly impossible to achieve in advances.

So RR is planning to sell out Damarukam in all areas of the state and recently released some stills hoping to get some good business offers. But the response is very disappointing. With many other notable films set for July, Damarukam is fighting against heavy odds to get Distributors who are ready to shell out big bucks.
