Dhruva to set the Tone for Sankranthi Deals

Ram Charan`s Dhruva which is releasing this Friday will set the Tone for the Trade Deals for the Sankranthi and Summer 2017 in Tollywood. All Distributors and Exhibitors will be keenly watching its Performance at the Box-office with this `Thani Oruvan` Remake being the first Big Telugu Release in the Post Demonetisation Era.

Many Buyers have been crippled with lack of funds with their Political and Real Estate backers not in a position to finance them. It is an open secret that Right from a Small Town Exhibitor to a Big Budget Producer, Majority in the Film Industry indulges in Black Transactions due to different reasons. Many Producers are also suffering but at-least some of them can rely on Bank Loans and Corporate funding which is not the Case with Distributors.

Geeth Arts being a Big and Established Production House is releasing Dhruva largely on their own risk through different distributors in Telugu States and isn`t facing any troubles on their part. The Business deals happening between Distributors and Exhibitors are the key here and not between Geetha Arts & Distributors. It is widely believed that Demonetisation has hugely effected Rural economy and will hit the Box-office Revenues too. Exhibitors of B & C Centers are being cautious keeping this in mind and are largely staying away from offering big deals. The Revenues, Dhruva is going to manage at the Ticket Window are going to be key considering two biggies are lined-up for Sankranthi 2017.

A Popular Distributor who will be Distributing one of the Sankranthi biggies when asked to comment upon says, " Recent Blockbuster, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada being a small film is no benchmark to be considered with. We are waiting to see whether Dhruva can manage good crowds especially with Small notes being a big problem. `A` Class Centers have online bookings & ATMs and to an extent are having less impact of Demonetisation. I hope Dhruva brings crowds to Theaters in smaller centers otherwise our exhibitors won`t come up with good offers and we won`t be able to honour pre-agreed deals with Producers."
