ABO Review : 'Darbar'

`Darbar` is a Passable Action Entertainer.

Story :

Aditya Arunachalam is an Upright Cop who is also an Encounter Specialist ( Commissioner, Mumbai). His search for a Top Politician`s missing Daughter reveals a Huge Drug Mafia. But the the Mafia won`t sit idle and plays dirty tricks. How Aditya overcomes everything to put an end to the Drug kingpin forms the rest.

Performances:

Rajini seems to have worked hard and has totally rocked. Nayanthara is okay and Nivetha Thomas is good. Sunil Shetty is adequate as well as the other supporting cast like Yogi and etc.,.

Technical Departments:

Action: Over The Top. Okay.

Music: Background Score is Good.

Cinematography: Decent.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

`Darbar` is an Action Entertainer with your Regular `Cop with attitude` Character. It is pretty Entertaining initially to see Rajini as a Cop but the 2nd half turns to out to be a pretty ordinary affair. The film rides on the Charisma of Rajini with no Strong narrative and is a good watch for his fans for mass elevations. The General audience will be partly entertained and may not hate it.

Box-office Verdict :

This Should be enough in its core markets but probably not in Telugu. Likely to be a Hit overall though.
