ABO Mini Review : Rough

Rough is a Typical Mass Commercial Entertainer let down by Poor Narration.

Story :

Chandu (Aadi) impressed by her like minded Kind attitude falls for Nadini ( Rakulpreet ), who is a Rich Business Tycoon- Siddarth (Srihari)`s Sister. Chandu approaches Siddarth directly and expresses love for the latter`s sister and they have an argument with Challenges following suit. The rest is about how Chandu makes his love a success.

Analysis : .

It was a Love Story unnecessarily mixed with over dosage of Commercial Elements. The 1st half is average and the 2nd half is Below average. Wafer thin story line gives limited scope and Narration should have been tight and interesting but the director being Débutante has faltered there. Once the initial half hour sets up the premise and story, it all gets predictable and Songs & fights follow one after other. On the other hand, it is still not an entirely bad film. Aadi seems to have worked hard on this, and it shows on Screen. All Lead characters enacted their parts well.

Performances : It was a typical Character for Srihari and he did it with ease. Aadi also did justice to the Mass Role and seems to have worked hard on his body & dance moves. Rakulpreet is fine and adds the much needed Glam quotient.

Songs & Sound Track : Mani Sharma`s Music is pretty ordinary. There isn`t a single Catchy tune in the film but a few songs on screen have been shot well. Aadi & Rakul Gelled together and Danced well but the all hard-work might get lost in a pee break. Sound Track, mostly in Thaman-sque Drum style is poor.

Direction : Poor.

Stunts : Of-course some of the moves are Gravity defying, nevertheless Adequate Job.

Cinematography : Okay.

Plus : Performances.

Minus : Wafer thin Story & Poor Comedy.

Overall Movie Rating : 2.5 / 5

BoxOffice Verdict :

This Mass Entertainer has only limited prospects at the Boxoffice.
