Dhammu Distributor economics explained

Dhammu was sold out for all areas barring Vizag in the state. The Vizag deal fell through just before release as already reported yesterday. The film collected around 21.5Cr in 10days from the 7 Sold out areas of AP ( except Vizag ). Lets look at what it should do in its full run to be termed safe.

The rates at which Dhammu has gone for the 7 sold out territories are listed below.

Dhammu is already a super hit in Karnataka and is a flop Overseas. The last 2 super hits Business Man & Racha are also flops overseas but made money in Karnataka. It is the AP business which decides the actual result of the film.

Dhammu collected 21.5Cr from the 7 sold out areas of the state which have gone for 26.75Cr. So, including prints ( few physical ) & publicity the film should ideally collect more than 28Crores from the 7 AP sold out areas to become a safe one on the whole. Outside AP it is a mixed bag same as Business Man & Racha. 

It remains to be seen whether Dhammu manages to recover 28Cr from the above listed 7 areas to receive a Hit status. If it fails to do so, Dhammu will be an above average flick like Adhurs which ended up with minor losses. But it is the biggest earner for Both NTR & Boyapati and also a profit earner for its Producer since it is more or less a sellout before release.
